BWH Triage Program

BRMSTP is a medical student triage program held at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in the Emergency Radiology section. The program is designed to provide an intensive exposure to Radiology early in medical school training with a rigorous and hands-on experience. HMS students on duty assist the on-call BWH resident with fielding phone calls/pages, protocolling ER CT and MR studies, and researching clinical indications and patient histories for requested radiology studies. Students are paid an hourly wage for each shift, and shifts are scheduled Monday-Friday at 6:00-10:00 pm. Applications for the program are processed twice a year through Ashley Appel (aappel@partners.org), and once accepted into the program, training is provided prior to the first shift.
